Q: Do you accept reservations?
A: Matador Restaurants do not take reservations; guests are seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Private rooms are available for group reservations at both Casa del Matador restaurants located in Northwest and East Portland.
Q: Do you offer rooms for private parties?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have rooms for private parties at any of our Washington locations, however, Matador Redmond can accommodate some large parties. For more information, please contact Luke Poysnick at our Redmond location.
The Casa del Matador restaurants located on NW 23rd in Northwest Portland and on East Burnside in East Portland have rooms available for private parties any day of the week. For more information, please visit the Parties page.
Q: Are children allowed in the restaurants?
A: With the exception of Matador Boise, all Matador Restaurants only allow guests that are 21 years of age and older. The Matador Boise allows minors until 9pm.
Q: When is Happy Hour?
A: We offer $5 appetizers every day during our Happy Hours from 4pm to 6pm and again from 10pm to 1am.
Q: Do you have TVs in the bar? What’s on?
A: Matador Restaurants show selected sports programming on two 46″ HD plasma TVs behind the bar at no volume. We generally show Mariners, Seahawks, Sounders, and Trail Blazers games as well as most major championships.
Q: Do you have vegetarian or vegan menu items?
A: We offer several vegetarian menu items. Our Texas Style Nachos and Braised Grape Salad make for great starters and our Veggie Enchiladas, Cheese or Veggie Quesadillas, and Portobello Mushroom Fajitas are delicious vegetarian entrée choices.
Q: Do you have gluten-free items on your menu?
A: We offer an extensive array of gluten-free items, including our Nachos (without steak), Goat Cheese-stuffed Jalapenos, Habanero Prawns, Verde Chicken Enchiladas, and Carnitas with Corn Tortillas. For more information, please review our Gluten-Free Menu online.
Q: Who are the artists responsible for the intricate metalwork and hand-carved tabletops featured in all your restaurants?
A: Matador Restaurants’ owner Zak Melang hand-designed, cut, and created each individual bar and table top. Each unique bull skull was hand-painted by artist and author Ramon Shiloh and the custom metalwork was designed and forged by local Seattle artists.
